We are thrilled to have you join us today, welcome to ValiantCEO Magazine’s exclusive interview! Let’s start off with a little introduction. Tell our readers a bit about yourself and your company.
Lynita Mitchell-Blackwell: I am the Intuitive Business Coach, and I love leading my clients to Live Life on FIRE for the Ultimate Successful Life with peace, joy, and fulfillment!
I have had the fortune to explore several careers, including establishing an award winning law firm, publishing house that produced 9 bestselling authors, I myself am also a 5X #1 Bestselling Author. I am also a CPA, an ordained minister, and have been recognized nationally as an outstanding community leader.
I am the CEO of the Leading Through Living Community LLC, and I love coaching successful business owners and professionals to start, grow, and scale new businesses (especially if they are also publishing a new book!).
In the past year, what is the greatest business achievement you’d like to celebrate with your team? Please share the details of that success.
Lynita Mitchell-Blackwell: I’d love to celebrate with my team the release of our 5th bestselling book “Live Life on Fire: the Ultimate Guide to the Successful Life Full of Peace, Joy, and Fulfillment” in two categories!
This was and is the first time we hit #1 on Amazon’s list without a major marketing promotion! It was a joyous occasion because it meant our message resonated with our audience: a joyful life is one that is lived by your own standards of excellence, not someone else’s checklist for perfection.
Quiet quitting, The Great Resignation, are an ongoing trend causing many businesses to struggle to keep talent engaged and motivated. Most are leaving because of their boss or their company culture. 82% of people feel unheard, undervalued, and misunderstood in the workplace. In your experience, what keeps employees happy? And how are you adapting to the current shift we see?
Lynita Mitchell-Blackwell: Keeping people happy is unsustainable. Happiness is fleeting because it is based on external factors. The focus must be joy, which is inwardly focused and centered about reward of one’s self and how he/she/they contribute to the world.
When an organization is focused on their team members’ joy, they are able to implement initiatives that support that individual life satisfaction, which in turn elevates team cohesiveness and overall success.
These initiatives include mindfulness programs, meditation/quiet rooms, paid time off for mental health days, generous vacation schedules that allow real breaks from work, celebrating achievements that are external to the company, and encouraging (and supporting) employee ventures that may lead to duelprenuership.
I have implemented all of the above programs and have seen a marked uptick in my team members satisfaction with work and increase in productivity and profitability in our company.
